Shooting kills 1 in Phila.; stabbing kills another

Two men were killed in Philadelphia early yesterday in separate crimes.

Sideem Ingram, 21, was shot four times outside a house in the 4200 block of North Hicks Street in the Nicetown section and died at 3:30 a.m. at Temple University Hospital, police said. Later, at 24th and Huntington Streets in North Philadelphia, Edward Gordon, 56, was stabbed multiple times. He died at the Temple hospital at 6 a.m.

Police said they were trying to determine what had sparked the killings. No suspects were in custody. - Jeff Gammage
