North Wildwood Fudgy Wudgy man Andrew "Andy" Markee died Nov. 11 at the age of 76.
A beloved Fudgy Wudgy man who sold ice cream along the beaches of North Wildwood died last week at the age of 76.
Andrew "Andy" Markee passed away Nov. 11, according to a death notification from the Landmark Funeral Home in Hollywood, Fla.
He became a fixture on the beach scene of the southern Jersey Shore selling frozen treats from a rolling cooler.
Al Alven told the Shore News Today, which first reported his passing, that Markee was "part of the landscape of the North Wildwood beach for as long as I can remember."
He was just a constant," Alven said. "There were several Fudgy Wudgy Men, but he was the Fudgy Wudgy Man."
Private funeral services have been planned for Markee, whose cause of death was not disclosed.
