Police have arrested two men for allegedly robbing a pizza delivery driver as he finished making a delivery in Haddonfield early Friday.

Michael Deshields, 25, and Chris D. Ward Jr., 23, both of Magnolia, are charged with robbery and weapons offenses.

Police said the duo, one of them brandishing a handgun, cornered the delivery driver on Potter Street shortly after midnight.

They made away with what police described as "a small amount of cash."

The victim immediately called 911 and provided investigators with a description of the suspects and a maroon Ford Explorer seen speeding away from the area, according to investigators.

Cherry Hill police stopped the vehicle a short time later and took Deshields and Ward into custody.

At the time of his arrest, Deshields was found to be in possession of about three grams of cocaine packaged in several small bags, police said.

He was held at the Camden County Jail on $159,000 bail after being charged with additional counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute.

Ward was imprisoned at the Camden County Jail on $145,000 bail, police said.
