Police say two patrol officers arrested two men and seized nearly 250 bags of heroin in separate recent cases in Camden.

Camden County police said officers on patrol on Wednesday saw a drug transaction take place at 3rd Street and Kaighn Avenue.

They apprehended 22-year-old Robert Vadi, of Camden, who was carrying 81 bags of heroin at the time, police said.

Two days later, the same officers, Dominic Bolognese and Joseph Pemberton, were on patrol when they were called to investigate a report of drugs being sold out of an abandoned home on the 200 block of Mount Vernon Street.

The pair found 19-year-old Wilmer Reyes, of Camden, at the site and arrested him. Reyes possessed 165 bags of heroin, police said.

Both Vadi and Reyes were charged with multiple drug offenses.
