Five people have been charged in a shooting on the Atlantic City Expressway that left one man dead and four others – who are all now facing charges – injured.

Authorities have located a third vehicle that may have been involved in the Monday afternoon shooting, though investigators are continuing to sort out what happened in the barrage of gunfire on the busy highway.

The incident unfolded when shots were fired among moving vehicles on the eastbound expressway near the Garden State Parkway about 3 p.m. Monday.

Troopers found a Nissan Maxima on the northbound side of the parkway near milepost 39, where a slain man was in the passenger seat. Police also located four wounded men in a bullet-riddled Ford Expedition in the parking lot of a nearby Wawa, on Delilah Road in Egg Harbor Township.

Officials on Tuesday identified the man who was fatally shot as Rosemund Octavius, a 22-year-old Egg Harbor Township resident.

The driver of the Maxima, 24-year-old Anthony Hicks, a Mays Landing man who was unharmed, and the four wounded occupants of the Expedition are now facing weapons charges. Investigators found three handguns and an assault rifle near the Wawa, police said.

The Expedition occupants who have been charged were identified Tuesday as Lenardo Caro, 24, of Little Egg Harbor Township; Yahshaun Stukes-Williams, 19, of Mays Landing; Shaun Stukes, 38, of Atlantic City; and a 16-year-old male whose name was not released.

The three adults in the Expedition are also charged with employing a juvenile in a crime.

Police said 21 gunshots had been fired into the Expedition; all four occupants were taken to Atlantic City Medical Center for treatment. Stukes-Williams and Stukes remained hospitalized late Tuesday morning. Police said the two are related but it is not yet clear how.

Troopers are continuing to investigate the motive for the shooting and determine who fired the shots that killed Octavius and wounded the others.

Witnesses reported that a black Dodge Ram pickup truck may also have been involved in the shooting. That truck was believed to have continued driving east on the expressway and exited in the Pleasantville area.

New Jersey State Police said Tuesday night that the truck had been located but no other arrests were immediately made.
