A North Jersey lottery player won $1 million in Wednesday's Powerball game, while a Camden County ticket won $576,565 in the state's Cash 5 drawing.
A ticket sold in Essex County matched all five white balls drawn (9, 11, 25, 64 and 65) but missed the Powerball of 16, falling just short of the $127 million jackpot.
The $1 million winner was sold in Newark, at Sweet Maria's Deli, located at 100 Elm Road.
No one hit the jackpot, so the top prize for Saturday's drawing rolls over to $142 million for the annuity, or $98.1 million for the cash option.
A Kansas Powerball ticket also won $1 million Wednesday.
In the day's Jersey Cash 5 game, a ticket sold in Cherry Hill won the $576,565 jackpot by matching all five numbers drawn: 1, 20, 31, 32 and 41.
That ticket was sold at the Cherry Hill Exxon, lcoated at 1823 E. Route 70, lottery officials said.
The gas station gets a $2,000 bonus.
