Police: N.J. deli owner stabbed wife to death as kids slept

A co-owner of a Collingswood deli was arrested Tuesday morning in the stabbing death of his wife in Salem County.

A co-owner of a Collingswood deli was arrested Tuesday morning in the stabbing death of his wife in Salem County.

Mitin Singh, 46, was charged with first-degree murder and related offenses, and was being held at Salem County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1 million bail, police said.

Singh allegedly stabbed his wife, Seema Singh, 42, in the kitchen of their apartment in Pennsville early Tuesday morning as their three children slept nearby, NJ.com reported. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The children were not hurt.

The couple were owners of the Quick Stop Deli, a convenience store on Richey Avenue in Collingswood.
