Paulsboro murder suspect turns himself in

A Pennsville man accused of fatally shooting a Paulsboro man turned himself in to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday, authorities said.

A Pennsville man accused of fatally shooting a Paulsboro man turned himself in to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday, authorities said.

Darnell L. Samuels, 33, was charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. He shot John Gardner, 24, multiple times around 11 p.m. on June 20 in the 1300 block of Pine Street in Paulsboro, the prosecutor's office said.

Gardner was taken to Inspira Hospital in Woodbury, where he was pronounced dead. Samuels' bail was set at $1 million Tuesday.
