60+ people arrested in N. Wildwood over Memorial Day Weekend

The North Wildwood Police Department on Friday announced that 64 people were arrested over the Memorial Day weekend. Those arrested from May 27 through Monday included 24 Philadelphia and 20 South Jersey residents.

Those arrested from May 27 through Monday included 24 Philadelphia and 20 South Jersey residents.

Charges include possession of marijuana and other drugs, alcohol possession by someone under 21, driving while intoxicated, disorderly conduct, and in one case, unlawful possession of a stun gun.

Six of those arrested were juveniles whose names were not released.

The oldest person arrested was Erick Kibuuka, 49, of West Cape May, on charges of driving while intoxicated and hindering apprehension.

Police Capt. John Stevenson said Friday that the number of people arrested this year is slightly higher than last year's figure for the holiday weekend.
