Former S. Jersey swim coach accused of sex assault

A former assistant coach at a Haddon Heights swim club has been charged with sexual assault and related offenses, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said Friday.

A former assistant coach at a Haddon Heights swim club has been charged with sexual assault and related offenses, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said Friday.

Joseph Blake, 25, of Haddon Heights, who coached at the Haddon Glen Swim Club, is accused of having had a sexual relationship with a female former team member who at the time was 15 to 17 years old, authorities said in a news release. The alleged acts occurred between 2011 and 2013, authorities said.

Blake, who was arrested Thursday, was charged with two counts each of sexual assault, one count of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of stalking, authorities said. His bail was set at $250,000. - Julie Shaw
