The owner of a South Jersey roller skating rink, previously arrested for an alleged child sexual assault, is facing additional charges of manufacturing child pornography.

The owner of a South Jersey roller skating rink, previously arrested for an alleged child sexual assault, is facing additional charges of manufacturing child pornography.

John J. Carlo, 47, operates the Franklin Skating Center on Delsea Drive in Franklinville. In August, he was arrested and charged with the sex assault of a child and related counts. Carlo was released after posting $200,000 bail, said Bernie Weisenfeld, spokesman for the Gloucester County Prosecutor's office.

On Tuesday, Carlo surrendered himself to detectives to face the new charges. According to the complaint, Carlo videoed himself on Nov. 26, 2014, as he engaged in simulated sexual intercourse with a 10-year-old child, said Weisenfeld.

In addition to the sex assault, Carlo previously was charged with invasion of privacy for using a camera to record images of a child's "intimate parts" and endangering the welfare of a child for showing obscene material to a juvenile.
