New PATCO schedules will go into effect as of Sunday, according to the Delaware River Port Authority, as the agency works to finish its track refurbishment project.

Through the end of October, the new schedule will return PATCO to normal operations Monday through Thursday morning, with a revised schedule from midday Thursday through Sunday night.

The work during the latest stage of the project involves signal and communications system replacements on the Ben Franklin Bridge. Track work will be suspended from the end of October through early December, then will be reinstated until the end of 2015.

Schedules are online at ridepatco.org and printed timetables will be available Tuesday. - Allison Steele
