Officials: Three homicides in week in Trenton

TRENTON - Authorities Saturday were investigating the death of a teenager who was the victim of Trenton's third homicide of the week.

The victim, identified as Jah'Vae Miney, 16, was shot in the chest late Friday in the area of Bellevue Avenue and Prospect Street in Trenton's West Ward. He died a short time later at a local hospital.

A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

Officials said that said no other injuries were reported in the shooting, and no arrests have been made.

The fatal shooting was the the 12th this year in the state capitol.
