Four soldiers were injured, one critically, when their Humvee was hit from behind and overturned Friday night on the New Jersey Turnpike in Burlington County, state police said.

The driver of the Humvee, a 35-year-old man from Fort Drum in New York, was ejected and suffered serious internal and spinal injuries, police said.

Two passengers in the Humvee suffered serious head injuries and bone fractures. Another suffered moderate injuries.

The driver of the car that clipped the Humvee, Ramdel Magloire, 43, of Hackensack, N.J., and his passenger suffered minor injuries.

All six people injured were taken to Capital Health Medical Center in Trenton.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. Friday in the outer southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike in Chesterfield Township.

Police said Magloire, driving a Nissan 350Z, changed lanes and clipped the back of the Humvee, which was the tail end of a military convoy. The Humvee went off the side of the road and overturned in the grass.

The driver has not been charged, police said. The accident is still under investigation.
