Police identify fatally struck pedestrian as Mt. Laurel woman

CHERRY HILL Police on Wednesday identified a pedestrian who died after being struck by a car as Lisa Vitale, 26, of Mount Laurel.

The crash occurred Tuesday around 8:45 p.m. at Haddonfield-Berlin and Cranford roads after Vitale was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Haddonfield-Berlin, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 49-year-old woman from Sewell, cooperated with officers, police said. She was not facing charges Wednesday, but Cherry Hill police were asking witnesses to call the traffic safety unit at 856-488-7820.
