Corzine nominates Ripa for Camden County clerk

Gov. Corzine nominated Camden County Freeholder Joseph Ripa Jr. yesterday to be the next county clerk.

The appointment of Ripa, of Voorhees, is subject to state Senate approval.

The nomination was expected because the Camden County Democratic Party recommended Ripa to take the place of James Beach, who became a state senator earlier this year. - Matt Katz
