Spit hits the fan when man is shot twice in legs

AUTHORITIES in Allentown say an argument over spitting led to a man being shot in both legs.

The victim was listed in stable condition yesterday morning as Allentown police searched for the gunman.

Police said the 25-year-old victim reported spitting on the sidewalk Saturday night. Cops said a man walking nearby took offense, and an argument began.

The victim told police he apologized, but said the man shot him anyway and then fled.

Allentown police were still looking for the gunman. He was described as a thin black male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a braided beard.
