Pilot has in-flight heart attack, dies

A United Airlines pilot died after suffering a heart attack while flying from Houston to Seattle, forcing the crew to make an emergency landing in Idaho while two doctors among the 161 people on board did CPR in the first-class cabin.

Firefighters and paramedics ran to the aid of Henry Skillern, 63, of Humble, Texas, on the Boise Airport tarmac. He died a short time later at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, said spokeswoman Jennifer Krajnik. Skillern had been with United 26 years.
