DNC events for Monday, July 25

It's party time.

Though warm-up events and fund-raisers were scheduled over the weekend, Monday marks the official start of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

Officially sanctioned, star-studded events will be scattered through Center City before the gavel sounds in the late afternoon for the main event at the Wells Fargo Center.

Celebrations of all things Bernie Sanders mostly will be corraled at City Hall or in South Philly at either FDR Park or Marconi Plaza.

And any organization with a grievance is likely to be based at City Hall (or the Muncipal Services Building across the street) for a rally before stepping off for long marches down Broad Street.

The list will be updated as we receive new information.

We weren't able to confirm every event listed below. Check with the event's website or Facebook page before heading to the smaller shindigs or soirees. An asterisk indicates the city granted a permit for a protest or rally, but doesn't guarantee the event will go on.

What follows is a selection of high-profile or otherwise noteworthy events, then a complete chronological listing.
