Two men killed in North Phila.

A confrontation in North Philadelphia led to sudden tragedy early Sunday morning. Responding to a 2:17 a.m. call of a "person with gun," 22d district police said they found a man down, suffering from multiple gun shot wounds, in a third-floor hallway in the 2400 block of North 29th Street. A medic unit pronounced him dead at 2:30 a.m.

A confrontation in North Philadelphia led to sudden tragedy early Sunday morning.

Responding to a 2:17 a.m. call of a "person with gun," 22d district police said they found a man down, suffering from multiple gun shot wounds, in a third-floor hallway in the 2400 block of North 29th Street. A medic unit pronounced him dead at 2:30 a.m.

Responding officers then found a second male around the corner in front of a property on the 2800 block of Cumberland Street, suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Officers transported him to Temple Hospital, where he was subsequently pronounced dead at 4:57 a.m., police said.

The investigation is active and ongoing. Neither victim has been named.
