Rita Coolidge to sing for animal rescue fund-raiser

Rita Coolidge, the 1970s Grammy-winning recording artist, is to lend her voice to support a local animal rescue. Coolidge is to appear live at the Main Line Animal Rescue's Seventh Annual Bark-O-Lounge at 7 p.m. on Saturday at its Phoenixville property, 1149 Pikes Springs Rd.

Coolidge is to appear live at the Main Line Animal Rescue's Seventh Annual Bark-O-Lounge at 7 p.m. on Saturday at its Phoenixville property, 1149 Pikes Springs Rd.

The theme of the fall fund-raiser is "Celebrating the '70s." Proceeds are to help support the shelter's animal rescue, adoption, rehabilitation, and community education programs.

Tickets, which cost $100, must be purchased in advance and will include beer and wine cocktails, dinner, registration for silent auction, and seating for Coolidge's performance.
