A 19-year-old Philadelphia man has been charged with the shooting death of a man in Norristown in April.

Chad Jonathan Beringer is charged with shooting 30-year-old Keithon Majors on the 1200 block of Locust Street in Norristown on April 6, Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Norristown Police Chief Mark Talbot announced Thursday.

Ferman said Majors' body was found the night of the shooting in a car at a Lukoil service station in Plymouth Meeting and transported to Mercy Suburban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators used ballistic analysis, wiretapping, and cell phone records to link Beringer to the murder, Ferman said.

Beringer was arraigned Thursday on charges of first- and third-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, possession of a firearm without a license, and related crimes. He is being held at Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
