2 injured as SUV slams into house in Rhawnhurst

Two people were hospitalized after an SUV plowed into a house late Monday afternoon in the Rhawnhurst section of Northeast Philadelphia, police said.

The crash occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. in the area of Castor Avenue and Loney Street, police said. The SUV was traveling on Castor when the driver lost control.

It was not immediately known whether the injured people, who were listed in stable condition at Aria Health-Torresdale Campus, were in the vehicle or in the house.
