Tornado watch extended, but area likely to escape worst weather, NWS says

Southeastern Pennsylvania's tornado watch has been extended to 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, but the region appeared likely to escape the worst of the severe weather sweeping across the state, meteorologists said Monday night.

Some harsh weather was being seen in the westernmost parts of Berks County, according to the National Weather Service station in Mount Holly. There was also severe weather near the Chesapeake Bay.
