Snow falling in South Jersey

Snow is falling in South Jersey, remnants of a winter storm that dumped up to six inches of snow in the Southeast United States.The storm could leave up to 4 inches of snow on Cape May peninsula and less points north, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS reported that 3 inches had been measured in Cape May Court House as of 9:30 a.m. with an inch more reported in Salem, Cumberland and Atlantic counties.

Smoe snow fell along Route 42 in Camden and Gloucester countues but did not stick.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for South Jersey until 1 p.m.

Some schools in Cape May County are closed because of the storm.

The speed limit has been reduced to 35 mph on the Ben Franklin, Walt Whitman and Commodore Barry bridges and to 45 mph on the Garden State Parkway in the areas affected by snow.
