AG settles with Bucks wedding videographer accused of jilting couples

A Bucks County videographer has settled claims by the state that he failed to provide dozens of couples with their wedding videos over several years, the state Attorney General's Office announced Friday.

Kenneth H. Stillman, owner of Kenneth Stillman Video, was accused by 83 couples of failing to provide videos or other services he promised, the office said. Stillman was also accused of neglecting calls and complaints from couples who tried to recoup the items.

The agreement calls for Stillman to give the couples any outstanding videos he has within 30 days and pay $20,500 in restitution and fines, the Attorney General's Office said.

Basil Merenda, director of the office's Bureau of Consumer Protection, said that complaints against Stillman dated from mid-2009 until early 2012.

The Attorney General's Office began investigating in February 2012, Merenda said, and filed suit against Stillman that November after he was uncooperative with investigators.

Merenda said Stillman blamed health problems and family issues for failing to deliver final copies of videos to the couples.

He now has 30 days to give them edited videos, Merenda said. Merenda believes Stillman still has all of the raw footage from the videos he shot.

Attempts to reach Stillman on Friday were unsuccessful.

Court records show that about a dozen couples won civil judgments against Stillman in District Court in Bucks County in 2012, but the specifics of each case were not clear.
