Cops ain't lovin' it: McDonald's worker was selling crack, they say
McDonald's employee sold crack while on the clock, police said.
ONE McDONALD'S employee took a company slogan, "You deserve a break today," to a whole new level by dealing crack cocaine in the restaurant's parking lot while he was working, Radnor Township police said yesterday.
Allen Trammell, 29, a cook at the McDonald's on Lancaster Avenue near Gallagher in the Wayne section of Radnor Township, allegedly sold crack cocaine to an undercover officer in the fast-food joint's parking lot four times since June, Radnor police Lt. Andrew Block said.
On all but the last occasion, Trammell was working when he went out to the parking lot to conduct the transactions, Block said.
"There's a health concern that one minute he's handling illicit contraband and the next minute he's going in and preparing food," Block said. "There are also families that go into this restaurant on a daily basis. If something turns wrong with this activity . . . that's one of our concerns."
When cops conducted the final undercover buy on Tuesday, Trammell was not working but set up the buy at the parking lot anyway, police said. When he was taken into custody and searched, officers found 57 packets of crack cocaine in a backpack Trammell had with him, according to Block.
Trammell has worked at the Wayne McDonald's for two years and police allege his crack-cocaine moonlighting gig could have been going on for the last six months.
Block said there's no indication McDonald's management knew anything about the drug sales Trammell allegedly conducted on their property.
