GLOUCESTER CITY Poetry, Chinese-style dancing, and a local singer-songwriter will be three of the many attractions at the sixth annual Gloucester Art and Music Festival, to be held Saturday.

According to a news release from the Gloucester City Arts and Heritage Society, a nonprofit with the goal of bringing the arts to Gloucester City, there will be a poetry corner at 11:45 a.m. featuring the Gloucester City High School poetry club.

Chinese dancing will be performed by the Jade River Dancers, a group of five adopted Chinese girls who came to the area 11 years ago. They have performed at Penn's Landing and the Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill.

In addition, there will be eight musicians playing a variety of musical styles in the bandstand. Ceramics, greeting cards, and other handmade crafts will be available.

The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Proprietors Park in Gloucester City by the waterfront. The rain date is Sunday. For more information, contact gcarts2u@yahoo.com.
