Stabbing victim found dead in Camden fire

The death of a Camden woman burned in a fire Friday afternoon has been ruled a homicide, authorities said. The woman, identified as Rhonda Scott, 38, of the 500 block of Grant Street, was stabbed multiple times before being severely burned in the fire, Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk and Camden Police Chief Scott Thomson said Saturday.

The woman, identified as Rhonda Scott, 38, of the 500 block of Grant Street, was stabbed multiple times before being severely burned in the fire, Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk and Camden Police Chief Scott Thomson said Saturday.

The fire, in an abandoned house on the 1700 block of Tioga Street in the Liberty Park section of the city, appeared to have been set, the fire officials said. It was reported around 4:45 p.m.
