Business suit-wearing bandit sought in robbery of Montco bank

A man in a business suit is sought in the robbery of the Wells Fargo branch at 1675 Limekiln Pike, in Dresher, Montgomery County, according to the FBI and Upper Dublin Police Department.

Authorities are looking for a business suit-wearing bandit who robbed a bank in Montgomery County Friday morning.

The suspect walked into the Wells Fargo branch at 1675 Limekiln Pike, in Dresher, shortly before 10:30 a.m., according to a news release from the FBI and Upper Dublin Police Department.

He allegedly threatened the tellers with a black semiautomatic pistol, presented them with a dark green plastic bag, and ordered them to fill it with cash.

The suspect fled after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen running southeast on Limekiln Pike, investigators said.

Authorities described him as a 5-foot-11 white male between the ages of 50 and 60 with a medium to heavy build. He was last seen wearing a blue business suit, a blue button-down dress shirt, a patterned tie, a light-colored bucket-style hat, dark sunglasses, white rubber gloves, and a red scarf over his nose and mouth.

Anyone with information was asked to call the FBI's Fort Washington office at 215-641-8910 or the Upper Dublin Police Department at 215-646-2101.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, officials said.
