Police probe overnight slaying in Crescentville

Philadelphia police are investigating an overnight killing in the city's Crescentville section.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Sentner Street at about 1:30 a.m., police said.

Police said no other details about the incident were immediately available. 6ABC reports that investigators believe a shootout may have occurred, as several shell casings were found at the scene and a weapon was under the victim's body.

No other information about the victim was available early this morning.
