A social worker at a Camden County high school has been accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a student.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office said 52-year-old Anthony Williams, a social worker at Highland Regional High School in Blackwood, is facing charges of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

Prosecutors said in a statement that he engaged in "inappropriate sexual activity while a teenage male student was present" in his Clementon home. Officials didn't provide further details about the alleged inappropriate contact.

Williams has been suspended from his position at the school pending further investigation.

Anyone with information about any other inappropriate interactions between Williams and young people is asked to contact the prosecutor's office at 856-614-8000 or Gloucester Township police at 856-374-5725.
