Getting around on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Many public transit agencies are running on modified schedules for the holidays. Here's what you need to know about getting around the region on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

SEPTA

Dec. 24: City bus and trolley service is on a modified weekday schedule. There's regular weekday service on the Market-Frankford and Broad Street subway lines, suburban bus and trolley service, and Regional Rail.

Dec. 25: All bus, trolley and subway service will operate on a Sunday schedule. Regional Rail will run on a special Christmas schedule.

New Jersey Transit 

Dec. 24: Trains will operate on a regular weekday schedule. Extra "early getaway" trains will run operate at some stations. Bus schedules vary by route.

Dec. 25: All train lines will run on a weekend/major holiday schedule. Bus schedules vary by route.

PATCO

Dec. 24: Trains will operate on a special holiday schedule.

Dec. 25: Trains will operate on a special holiday schedule.

Philadelphia Parking Authority 

Dec. 24: There will be no parking enforcement after 1 p.m.

Dec. 25: There will be no parking enforcement all day. Enforcement resumes after 12 a.m. Dec. 26.
