Cops: Burlco crisis counselor stole iPads from school

A crisis intervention counselor is accused of stealing 12 iPads from the Twin Hills Elementary School in Willingboro.

A crisis intervention counselor is accused of stealing 12 iPads from the Twin Hills Elementary School in Willingboro.

Fadarie Mitchell, 40, was arrested Wednesday. Police said the Willingboro School District employee had access to the tablets while working at a summer program at the school.

The iPads, which the school district reported stolen last week, had not been recovered Wednesday, according to authorities. Detectives were continuing to investigate.

Mitchell, of Sandal Lane in Willingboro, was arraigned on a charge of theft and imprisoned at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.

Police said the crime is not believed to be connected to a previous theft of iPads the school district reported to authorities in February.
