One killed, another injured in Center City shooting, police say
Shots were fired on the 700 block of Arch Street around 2:37 a.m., leaving a 29-year-old man dead and another man, 25, wounded.
One man was killed and another wounded in a Center City shooting early Sunday, according to police.
Shots were fired outside on the 700 block of Arch Street about 2:37 a.m., police said. A 29-year-old man was declared dead at the scene around 2:50 a.m. He had been shot once in the torso and once in the face, police said.
A 25-year-old man shot in the body showed up for treatment at Wilmington Hospital, in Delaware, and was in stable condition police said.
Authorities did not identify either victim and did not provide a motive for the crime. No arrests had been made, and no weapons were recovered, police said.
The blocks surrounding the crime scene are home to Police Headquarters, the Federal Detention Center, and the FBI's Philadelphia field office.
