NJ Transit bus driver killed in apparent murder-suicide

Authorities believe the Sicklerville man was shot and killed by a woman who later took her own life.

A 45-year-old New Jersey Transit bus driver was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon in Washington Township by a woman who later shot herself, authorities said.

Ryan Reynolds, of Sicklerville, was shot at an NJ Transit garage sometime before 2 p.m., according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

Piacenta M. Jackson of Woodbury, a 44-year-old believed to have been responsible for the killing, shot and killed herself a short time later in Mantua near a business at Center and Trenton Streets, said Bernie Weisenfeld of the prosecutor's office.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, the Washington and Mantua Township Police Departments, and NJ Transit are investigating the incident.
