A 25-year-old Frankford man died Thursday after being shot the night before while walking in his neighborhood, police said Friday.

The victim, identified as Khristian Scott, was carrying food he had just bought and was walking on Torresdale Avenue near Scattergood Street about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday when someone came up to him and fired at least three shots, hitting him twice in the chest area, police said.

Responding officers found him unresponsive and rushed him to Aria Health-Torresdale Campus. Scott, who lived on the 4700 block of Oxford Avenue, was pronounced dead at 6:45 a.m. Thursday.

No arrest has been reported. The motive for the shooting was not known.
