Two dead after bullets fly in Kensington
Two young men were fatally shot in Kensington as the Eagles Super Bowl Parade was marching through the city.
Police are investigating the deaths of two men shot several times on the 200 block of East Stella Street early Thursday afternoon as the Eagles Super Bowl parade marched through the city.
The shooting unfolded in Kensington about noon, police said. A 19-year-old man was shot in the head, chest, and stomach. A 21-year-old man was shot six times in his shoulder, wrist, and chest. Both were pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital shortly after arrival.
Authorities said no weapon was found at the scene, and there were no immediate arrests. The victims' names were not released Thursday pending notification of next of kin.
