A shooting near a Francisville nightclub injured two people early Sunday.

Officers assigned to a club detail were patrolling the area of Suite 822 Ultra Lounge at Broad and Parrish streets when they heard a gunshot around 2:15 a.m., police said. As the officers exited their car, they heard more gunshots from the 1300 block of Parrish.

The officers saw multiple vehicles fleeing the scene, including a late-model BMW speeding south on Broad Street, police said. Around the corner on Parrish, they found two fired cartridge casings in the street.

Police were soon informed that a BMW M6 with blood on the seats had been located at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. Officers recognized the car as one of the fleeing vehicles, police said.

Two men were found in the hospital's emergency room. One of them, 27, had been shot multiple times. He was taken into surgery and listed in critical condition. The second man, 23, had been shot once in his hand and was placed in stable condition.

At least one projectile was found inside the BMW, which was held as a crime scene, police said.

There wasn't word on a suspect or motive, and police reported no arrest. An investigation remained active and ongoing Sunday.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Philadelphia police.
