Police seek Merchantville bank robbery suspect

Camden County authorities are looking for a man who robbed a PNC Bank branch on West Maple Avenue in Merchantville.

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Merchantville Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect entered the PNC branch at 26 W. Maple Ave. around 1:40 p.m. and passed a demand note to a teller, police said.

He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, exiting through the bank of the bank and running east on Maple Avenue, according to investigators.

The suspect did not display a weapon, and no injuries were reported.

He is described as a 5-foot-9-inch tall white male with a thin build, brown eyes and black and gray stubble. He was last seen wearing a black cap with a small brim, a three-quarter-length navy jacket, blue jeans, white sneakers and black gloves, police said.
