Police are asking for help in identifying two masked men who robbed a North Philadelphia market with a weapon that appeared to be an AR-15 assault rifle.

The men entered the Clearfield Food Market at 24th and Clearfield Streets about 8:40 p.m. Thursday. Inside, one of the men pointed the rifle - which may have been a toy - at a cashier and demanded money. After taking $500, the duo fled on foot, police said.

The suspect who held the rifle is described as a black male, about 19 years old, 5-foot-11 with a thin build and light skin. He was wearing a black ski mask, and orange hooded sweatshirt, a black jacket and tan pants. The second suspect is described as a black male, also about 19 years old and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black ski mask and all black clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Druding at 215-686-3093 or dial 911.
