A man is facing charges after he allegedly used a glass hummingbird feeder as his weapon of choice during a fight early Wednesday in Lancaster County.

The dispute erupted shortly after midnight inside a home on the 200 block of Black Barren Road in Fulton Township, according to investigators.

Richard Edgar Hill, 29, of Peach Bottom, became angry because Samuel Hampton, 21, of Avondale, was "refusing to party with him," state police said in a news release.

Hill allegedly tackled Hampton, then hit him in the head with the bird feeder. He fled toward Maryland before officers arrived, police said.

Authorities plan to file assault charges against Hill in District Court in Lancaster County.
