A bank robber who city police and FBI agents believe to be responsible for three other bank hold ups this year struck again Saturday, authorities said, this time in Center City.

Surveillance video inside the TD Bank at 111 S. 11th Street near Thomas Jefferson University Hospital footage show a white man believed to be in his 40s wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt enter the branch at about 8:55 a.m. Saturday.

The FBI said Monday he is also believed to be responsible for three other robberies in January and February. All three of those banks were within half a mile of each other on Frankford Avenue, between Levick Street and Longshore Avenue, in Mayfair.

The first was the PNC Bank at 6855 Frankford Ave. on Jan. 29, the second was the Wells Fargo Bank at 6420 Frankford Ave. and the third was 6635 Frankford Ave.

In the robbery this weekend, the hooded bandit entered the bank and verbally demanded money. A teller gave him cash and he fled.

He's described as approximately six feet tall with a slim build and "salt and pepper" hair. He also has a goatee and wore the zipper-down hoodie and blue jeans.
