Attorney IDs 'person-of-interest' in fatal carjacking

An attorney of one of the men being questioned in a deadly carjacking that resulted in the deaths three children and gravely injured their mother identified his client this morning as Jonathan Rosa, 19, of Philadelphia, according to reports.

Attorney Christopher Warren told NBCPhiladelphia his client was in the stolen SUV that crashed into a crowd on Friday morning.

"He turned himself in and he is doing everything in his power to try and atone for what happened last Friday," Warren said. "Quite frankly, he's having an extremely difficult time getting over the image of that 15-year-old girl coming over the hood of the car."

Warren did not identify the second person of interest, who is believed to be 20 years old.

A police spokesman said the two men haven't been charged but have been held at the police administration building since Sunday.

About 11 a.m. on Friday, Keisha Williams, 34, and her children were selling fruit near Germantown and Allegheny Avenues when a Toyota 4Runner plowed into them. Three of Williams' children were killed: Keiearra Williams, 15; Joseph Reed, 10; and Terrance Williams, 7. Several other people were injured.
