Police capture man charged in Burlington City homicide

Authorities on Monday captured a man they say fatally shot another man last weekend. Samuel James, 26, of Burlington Township, was arrested in Barrington, Camden County, around 4:15 p.m. Monday, authorities said. He faces murder and weapons charges in the death of Byron Turner, 24.

Turner was shot once in the head on the 100 block of East Federal Street around 7 p.m. Saturday in Burlington City, police said. He was pronounced dead at 10 p.m. at Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

James was being held on $1 million bail at the Burlington County Jail.
