Police: Victim of W. Phila shooting was driver for a limousine company

Police on Sunday confirmed that the 24-year-old man fatally shot in West Philadelphia Saturday night was a driver for a car and limousine company, and said they believe the suspect was a passenger at the time.

Police on Sunday confirmed that the 24-year-old man fatally shot in West Philadelphia Saturday night was a driver for a car and limousine company, and said they believe the suspect was a passenger at the time.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released by authorities, was found dead inside a 2007 Chrysler 300 with a gunshot wound to the back of the head, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene on the 5400 block of Delancey Street at 7:24 p.m.

Preliminary information, police said, indicated that three passengers were in the car at the time of the shooting. One, a man, was the gunman, and robbery was a motive, police said.
