Man killed in daylight shooting in N. Philly

Police are investigating the daylight shooting death of a man Tuesday in North Philadelphia's Nicetown section. The victim, said to be about 28 years old, was shot twice in the chest when gunfire erupted around 9:10 a.m. on the 3800 block of Archer Street, near Hunting Park Avenue, police said.

The victim, said to be about 28 years old, was shot twice in the chest when gunfire erupted around 9:10 a.m. on the 3800 block of Archer Street, near Hunting Park Avenue, police said.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:29 a.m., police said.

Investigators did not immediately provide any discriptions of a suspect or disclose if they have established a possible motive.
