9 nabbed in Lindenwold drug investigation

LINDENWOLD Nine people were arrested after a four-month investigation that led to the seizure of marijuana, morphine and 168 packets of heroin, police said Monday.

LINDENWOLD Nine people were arrested after a four-month investigation that led to the seizure of marijuana, morphine and 168 packets of heroin, police said Monday.

Lindenwold detectives had been investigating drug use at the Belmont Apartments in the 2000 block of White Horse Pike. A search warrant was executed there Thursday.

On Monday, police announced that the months-long investigation had yielded - aside from heroin - morphine, Oxycodone and Alprazolam tablets, as well as 38 bags of crack cocaine. Police also seized more than $2,700.

The nine arrested face a variety of charges, including possession of a controlled dangerous substance. They include: Helen Williams, 52 of Lindenwold; Gene Thornton, 34, of Voorhees; Mark Parson, 44, of Browns Mills; Troy Morris, 52, of Camden; Tyrice Jackson, 34, of Lindenwold; Milton Harris, 32, of Camden; Sean Hammonds, 19, of Lindenwold; Tyree Moore, 18, of Turnersville; and Kenneth Payne, 31, of Lindenwold.
