SEPTA Regional Rail lines were bedeviled again Thursday by problems related to the deep freeze gripping the region, with many trains offering standing room only during the morning commute.

SEPTA suspended service on the Media/Elwyn line for about 90 minutes before resuming around 9 a.m. with riders being advised to expect residual delays.

At least three other trains were canceled during the morning, a number of trains skipped stops and became expresses because the cars were packed and some expresses made local stops.

Delays also were reported on the Market/Frankford Line because of equipment trouble.

"Worst commute in a long time," Dave Schrader, spokesman for the Southeastern Pennsylvania, tweeted about his combination car/train commute.

On a positive note, SEPTA announced late this morning that service has resumed on the Route 35 bus in Roxborough and Manayunk.
