An emergency crew was called Sunday afternoon to the Bucks County Horse Park in Upper Black Eddy, where a woman was trapped under a dead horse.
A Bucks County dispatcher said the woman was walking the horse up a hill when it died. It fell and pinned her to the ground.
The woman was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Easton with non-life-threatening injuries.
Firefighters were told to turn off their sirens so as not to spook the rest of the horses.
The horse park is part of a 123-acre open space preserve, owned by the county parks system but operated as a nonprofit. It has two large show rings, two dressage rings, training and jump courses, and trail terrain where riders can practice cross-country jumps.
